3 RAFFLES AND 1 LEMONADE STAND LATER...
2016: FIRST CHEQUE PRESENTATION
On May 4th, 2016 I presented my first cheque of $3015 to the Montreal Children's Hospital and officially joined the Young Ambassador's club! Josie from the foundation as well as my parents and grandparents were there to cheer me on. Read below to see how I did it!
BIRTHDAY RAFFLE 2016
At first I was going to donate my birthday money from my family to the Hospital instead of getting presents. However as we discussed it as a family we realised that we could do more. My first raffle was held in my living room and I drew the names out of a box that I decorated myself. We decided that the following year if my raffle was going to grow it would have to find a home. My School has a great event every Spring called Shop-Fest. It`s a great indoor garage sale where you can rent a table and sell. The money from the rental tables benefited my school and the proceeds from my raffle and from my table benefited my Hospital. I was very pleased about this.
BIRTHDAY RAFFLE 2018
It was so wonderful to be back at my School for Shop-Fest and to see so many friends, teachers and my Principal coming by my table to support the Raffle. I presented the cheque for $5060 to the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation on April 19th 2018. Right before the annual Young Ambassador's event! It was so much fun to celebrate with so many amazing kids and their families!
BIRTHDAY RAFFLE 2017
This was so exciting! My goal was to beat last year $3015! At $2 a ticket that meant we needed to sell at least 1509 tickets! I more or less understood what that meant...Luckily this was the year that my birthday raffle found a home! Edgewater School spring Shop-Fest hosted my raffle draw! We were able to rent a table to sell more tickets and have our draw. I was able to also sell some gently used clothing and accessories and donate that money to the Hospital too. Our costume jewelry section was very popular! This is how I was able to reach my grand total of $4520!
